Presents the findings of a study into the perceptions and experiences of female call centre workers about the ways in which this type of work might influence their physical, psychological, emotional and social well-being. The project explores job stressors, coping strategies and buffers experienced by female call centre workers. The qualitative inquiry used face-to-face interviews with 25 women who worked in a variety of call centres (sales and service, telemarketing and fundraising, market research and survey, as well as medical services) in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
