Multistakeholder workshop on health and environment workshop proceedings
Presents the proceedings of the multistakeholder workshop on health and environment policy processes in Canada on January 13th - 14th in Ottawa. The goal of the workshop was to initiate an open discussion on the problems associated with the way decisions and policies are currently made in the area of health and environment. The workshop examines environmental health and economic decision-making processes through the use of illustrative and representative case studies; investigates the possibility of using alternative decision-making tools and processes of an economic, scientific and policy nature; and initiates a broadly-based debate on the economic, social and environmental implications of existing and potential decision-making processes.

Resistance against trafficking in women and children in South Asia
Presents a report of the South Asian Workshop on Trafficking in Women and Children: Formulating Strategies of Resistance held in Bangladesh during 9-10 October, 1996. The workshop was organized by UBINIG (Policy Research for Development Alternative) with participants from women's and human rights groups from Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Includes reports on common issues and concerns, legislative issues, and the state of trafficking in South Asia.
