Wedgewood Manor

A nursing home/manor is a long term care facility which provides 24 hour nurse supervision and care management for individuals who are assessed as being in need of this level of care. PEI has nine public manors/facilities and eight private nursing homes.

Wedgewood Manor is a 76 bed long term care facility (which includes one respite care bed) located in Summerside.


Etobicoke Caregivers Support Group
Provides support to caregivers who have attended caregiver workshops in Etibicoke, who have, are presently, or will be caring for a senior, who are actively seeking solutions to problems, and/or who need support.
Family Caregivers Network
Culturally integrates (English and Chinese) large group activities designed for members of the Network for sharing, learning and mutual support. Professionally facilitated.
Sharing the Caring
Provides information and resources concerning aging and caregiver stress in the form of group discussions, presentations, guest speakers and videos.
Taylor Place Community Services Dementia-Related Caregiver Support Groups
The Women's Self-Help Group provides an informal environment for information sharing and support to female caregivers connected to Taylor's Place Adult Day Program. The Men's Group provides support, education and practical help to male caregivers connected with the Taylor Place Alzheimer Day Program. The Widows Support Group provides support to senior women at any stage of their grieving process.

Healthy Balance Research Program
