Timmins Public Library

Established in 1924, the Timmins Public Library serves a population of 43,000 (2006) in an area of 2,962 square kilometers. Today, we have two (2) branches and offer services in both official languages. We have a strong Cree presence among our membership and 40% of the City’s population has an active membership in the Library.

Baycrest Hospital

Located in Toronto, Baycrest is one of the world's premier academic health sciences centers focused on aging. Through its strengths in research and education, Baycrest is using the power of inquiry and discovery to improve the health of tomorrow's elderly while at the same time care for and enhance the quality of life of the elderly today.

Baycrest provides care and service to approximately 2,500 people a day through the Baycrest Geriatric Health Care System which includes a unique continuum of care from wellness programs residential housing and outpatient clinics, to a 472-bed nursing home, and a 300- bed complex continuing care hospital facility with an acute care unit.

Founded in 1924, the OHA uses advocacy, education and partnerships to build a strong, innovative and sustainable health care system for all Ontarians. Over the years, the OHA has influenced and helped shape health care policy in Ontario — from helping the government establish the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) in the 1950s to harnessing the efficiencies of group buying power by creating Ontario’s Hospital Purchasing Program in the 1970s.


Today, representing approximately 154 public hospitals, the OHA assumes a leadership role, focused on patients, promoting an efficient and effective health system.

Rosewood Shelter

La Maison Rosewood Shelter is an emergency shelter that provides both residential and non-residential support to abused women and their children in North Central Simcoe County.

* Counsellors provide crisis counselling both in person and via the telephone for women who have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
* Child residents receive counselling and support as well as age-appropriate activities through our Child Support Program.
* Counselling, legal advocacy and accompaniment, assistance with finding and maintaining housing, assistance with Ontario Housing and Ontario Works are available to shelter residents and on an outreach basis to women living in the community.
* All services maintain confidentiality of client information.

Women who have pets that will need alternate care arrangements should discuss this with Rosewood staff. Services are available through the local SPCA or the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association's Safe Pet Program.

Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs

CCAPP is responsible for the accreditation of the professional degree program in pharmacy at the universities in Canada and of pharmacy technician programs in the college-level system. CCAPP also conducts accreditation services and prepares evaluation reports for selected international professional pharmacy degree and pharmacy technician programs meeting CCAPP criteria for international reviews.
