Provides safe shelter and support services for women and children fleeing abusive situations. Offers 24 hour counselling, educational programs, 24-hour crisis line, support groups, outreach and advocacy. Offers weekly Healing Circle, in-house support groups, advocacy, parenting skills, workshops on family violence, residential services, childcare, transportation, crisis intervention, referrals and information.
Provides a short-term emergency shelter that offers a safe environment for women in crisis with or without children. Provides emotional support and education. Provides services to all members of the community, including: a 24-hour crisis line; lay counselling; information; referral service to appropriate agencies; and, outreach support with follow-up (with priority given to family violence issues). Offers preventative initiatives including education, awareness and information. Operates a resource library with audio and visual materials on a variety of topics.
