Call for applications: PHAC Cancer Program - Community-Based Programming

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Chronic Disease Strategies Division, is seeking Applications (ISA) under the Cancer Program - Community-Based Programming, effective March 25, 2011.

The focus of the 2011 Cancer Program solicitation is on “Removing Barriers, Raising Awareness and Promoting Participation in Cancer Screening and Early Detection among Underserved Populations."  For details on the priority and the solicitation, please visit the PHAC website. They encourage organizations to build on existing work in this area and to replicate successful initiatives in different jurisdictions.  For example, some best and promising practices are highlighted in the publication, “Engaging Seldom or Never Screened Women in Cancer Screening: A Compendium of Pan-Canadian Best and Promising Practices”,
