Street Connections is a street outreach program of Mount Carmel Clinic operating out of two Inner-City sites (one specifically for women) plus a mobile van, which provides a wide variety of services in a non-judgmental manner. Our services are available to: male and female prostitutes; street youth; solvent users; intravenous drug users; other street involved people. The program offers: resources for men, women and children; counseling/support; needle exchange; nursing services; condoms; Street News; HIV, Hep A, B, & C, STD, and TB testing; health information; pregnancy testing; referrals to other services; someone to talk to; volunteer opportunities; laundry/bath/kitchen. Our program goal is to facilitate and support health change and growth within street-involved individuals towards the long term goal of independence and integration into a healthy community.
