Gerontology Research Centre

The Gerontology Research Centre (GRC) was established in 1982 with the help of grants from Imperial Oil, the Real Estate Foundation of BC, Shoppers Drug Mart, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The associated Department of Gerontology was established in 1983. Together, the GRC and Department serve as a focal point for research, education and information on individual and population aging and maintain an active publications program

Women's Research Centre

Community-based non-profit feminist organization. Focus on action research on women's issues, making women's experience visible. We also assist groups in developing their own projects- consultation. In addition, we do workshops and consultations for women's groups, community-based organizations and government departments. The Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization.

Women's College Research Institute

WCRI includes an interdisciplinary faculty of research scientists and clinicians. It includes eight established research programs and also encompasses and supports a number of clinical research initiatives.

American Heart Association

Works to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Engages in advocacy, health policy debates and development, research, and information provision to health care professionals and consumers.

Canadian Breast Cancer Research Alliance

A breast cancer awareness network that includes Avon Flame Foundation, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Canadian Breast Cancer Network, Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Health Canada, Public Health Agency of Canada and the National Cancer Institute of Canada. They are the primary granting agency for breast cancer research in Canada.
